Faculty and staff of Laureate International Universities’ (LIU) worldwide universities presented their nominees for the 2016 GPS Awards and it is with great pleasure that we announce once again the selection of a Les Roches Marbella faculty member as an award recipient. This year, Mr. Roberto Rodriguez (Lecturer of Rooms Division since 2009 and current BBA 4, 6, and 7 Program Manager), was presented with the GPS Leadership Awardduring the annual ceremony held in Orlando, Florida.
Mr. Rodriguez holds a Master of Science in Sustainability and Corporate Social Responsibility from Universitat Jaume I, a Diploma in Business and Tourist Activities from the Escuela Superior de Turismo de Jerez de la Frontera, and a Bachelor of Science in Tourism Management from the Universidad de Murcia.
Prior to the presentation of nominees for the Leadership Award, Les Roches Marbella’s faculty voted for him because of his revered dedication to the professional and ethical development of his students. His presence on campus serves as a daily example of leading by doing. Furthermore, he is committed and passionate about developing the university into a socially responsible institution with a keen awareness on the necessity of sustainable business practices as a necessary means to future success.
