Les Roches Marbella Global Hospitality Education received awards in six different categories of the Excellence in Education Awards during a ceremony held on June 2, 2017 at the Ateneo Madrid. The awards are part of the framework of Spain’s “Culture and Education Gala “, hosted by television presenter Patricia Betancort. The educational awards, which celebrate their first edition in 2017, form an independent merit-based ranking of the best national and international schools for professional degree studies in Spain. Each year they will deliver the awards to the country’s renown universities, business schools, public and private training centers.

SPECIAL PRIZE OF THE ORGANIZATION TO THE BEST INTERNATIONAL HOTEL SCHOOL 2017
Carlos Díez de la Lastra, CEO of Les Roches Marbella said in a statement that “this award is very important for us as it recognizes what we work for every day at Les Roches Marbella, which is the pursuit of excellence in all fields of education of our students. This involves extensive training on an academic and professional level as well as personal and human-level development”.
The Excellence in Education Prizes, organized by the Fundación Mundo Ciudad, aim to reward best practices in education worldwide by positioning the institutions that receive the awards as centers of focus to work towards to achieving excellence in education and good business practices. Each institution is selected in part for their concern with helping society become better equipped to meet the needs of higher education and training while never forgetting the importance of social responsibility in their day to day practice as educators.
In addition to the awards, Fundación Mundo Ciudad allocates resources to the participants of this event, where selected candidates can enjoy a scholarship in social responsibility valued at more than 3,995 euros. The scholarship works to fulfil the philosophy of the foundation that states, “a better world is possible”, by fomenting Corporate Social Responsibility in the world of higher education in an effort to build a society that is more aware and better equipped to meet the challenges of the future.
