Business field trip

The business field trip for this program takes you to Dubai, enabling you to validate – and build on – what you’ve learned in class.

It is also a prime opportunity to grow your professional network, by giving you face-time with established and well-connected hospitality executives.

The week-long trip is carefully curated to provide exposure to a variety of hotel operations representing the leading brands in the industry – with a focus on direct interactions with senior managers.

You will be expected to take part proactively, challenging the views put across and offering your own perceptions of the properties you visit.

Overall, the field trip provides outstanding potential to create an early and positive impression in your chosen industry.

Final semester Internship or Business Research Project

At the end of your taught semester you can choose between a professional internship or Business Research Project to earn your diploma.

Internship

Your six-month professional internship will place you directly into a hospitality setting, enabling you to put to the test what you learned in the previous semester.

This is our recommended option if you did not have significant hospitality industry experience before joining the program.

Research Project

Working with a partner company, you will tackle a real-world business challenge, drawing upon the skills and knowledge you learned in class.

This is our recommended option if you already accrued hospitality experience before joining the program.

With a degree: Minimum 2 years experience

Without a degree: Minimum 5 years experience

Qualifications:

Bachelor degree desirable.

Students without a degree can still access the Postexperience Programs and will receive a Professional Development Diploma.

*Hospitality Immersion Program:

*Mandatory for students without a hospitality related degree or professional experience. The Hospitality Immersion Program (HIP) runs in parallel to the 1st semester with courses on “Hospitality in Context”, “F&B Beverage Operations Management”, “Rooms Division Operations Management”.

English level:

If English is not your first language, or if you have not spent the last two years studying in an institution where English is the primary language of instruction, please enclose a copy of one of the following:

  • IELTS: overall 6.0 and min. 5.5 in every sub-component*
  • TOEFL: Internet-based 80 or paper-based 550
  • First Cambridge Exam: Grade A
  • Cambridge Advanced Exam: Grade C
  • Duolingo 115 with no component under 105
