To celebrate alongside our colleagues at Laureate, Les Roches Marbella’s pastry chef of 19 years, Ms. Isabel Olea, together with Chef Alberto Verdugo, Chef Miguel Angel Peñafiel and their BBA Semster 3 students prepared a memorable and delicious cake.
Preparing such a gift was not an easy task as it involved baking ten 80 cm wide cakes, 6 kilograms of chocolate mousse, several batches of merengue topping and an intricate, edible logo design. The result was an impressive 1.80 meter wide cake that was enjoyed by the entire school during lunch today.
As part of the celebration, Les Roches Marbella’s kitchen and service staff gathered for a cake cutting ceremony in the campus garden together with General Director, Mr. Carlos Díez de la Lastra and students.
We wish to thank Ms. Olea, Mr. Verdugo, Mr. Peñafiel, and the students for their hard work and utmost attention to detail in baking and decorating this masterpiece. And once again, from all of us at Les Roches Marbella, we wish Laureate International Universities a very happy 15th anniversary and we look forward to many more to come.
