Founded in 1978, Eta Sigma Delta is an international hotel fraternity that recognizes academic excellence by professionals and hotel management students from respected universities around the world. Being elected as a member of the fraternity Eta Sigma Delta is one of the most important honorary recognitions that students or industry professionals can receive directly from their peers. Students selected to the fraternity become lifetime members of what is a very select group within the international hospitality industry.
Ms. Villa has been nominated for the academic and professional merits she has demonstrated during four years of studying at the school and through her international internships in prestigious five-star hotels like the Intercontinental Suzhou in Jiangsu, China or the Radisson Blu in Nice, France. She has consistently adhered to the five core values of academic excellence, leadership, creativity, service and ethics that are recognized by this select society of industry professionals from around the world.
Fiona graduated with honors in June 2013 and she now holds a BBA in Hospitality from Les Roches Marbella. Although she is originally from France, she grew up in the nearby Costa del Sol community of Benálmadena. Since beginning her studies at Les Roches Marbella four years ago, she has served as a true ambassador for our school as well as a faithful friend and representative of her fellow students. This earned her the honor recently of giving her graduating class’ closing ceremony speech (see video below). Currently, Fiona is considering a management trainee position at the five-star Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Tokyo, Japan. (For more about Fiona, please see her recent interview on the Spanish syndicated radio program, La Ventana, below.)
We are very proud to have such an ambassador represent our school as she ventures into her career abroad and from all us at Les Roches Marbella, we wish Fiona all the best in her professional ambitions.
