As a result the outlook for career opportunities in hospitality management is following this upward trend. Some key indicators that point to a bright future for hospitality professionals include its impact on the global economy and employment trends. Notably, the hospitality & tourism industry currently accounts for 9.5% of the global GDP, employs roughly 266 million people, and for every US $1 million invested there are 50 new jobs created. Additionally, the World Travel & Tourism Council predicts growth to continue at a pace of 4.3% annualy over the next decade.
