FAQs: MBA In hospitality degree
What can I do after completing an MBA in hotel management?
Why limit yourself to hotels? With an MBA in Hospitality Management you open up a wider variety of leadership career paths, due to the broader business curriculum on offer.
With our MBA, a major element of your study relates to soft skills and leadership behaviors, featuring the input of professors who are experts in these fields.
Our MBA alumni can today be found in FMCG, consulting, events, technology, finance, and many other sectors.
Which MBA is best for hospitality management?
We may be biased, but we’d say ours is the best! Don’t take our word for it, though.
The Les Roches MBA in Hospitality Management has been running successfully for two decades now, and in that time it has powered many hundreds of students up the managerial ladder.
It’s hard to imagine any competing program getting you closer to the industry than one which features an immersive, carefully-curated field trip, a real-world Business Research Project involving a genuine corporate challenge, plus a choice of exceptionally career-focused specializations.
Which country is best for an MBA in hospitality?
There are many reasons why Switzerland is the natural choice for an MBA in hospitality.
The country is considered the home of hospitality, having been a destination for tourists ever since Thomas Cook pioneered the industry back in the 18th century.
Today, the country accounts for seven out of the global Top 10 hospitality business schools, according to the QS World University Rankings for this discipline.
What is the scope of an MBA in Hospitality Management?
The nature of an MBA is to set the table for a leadership career.
Our MBA in Hospitality Management follows that same track. It’s not an MBA in hotel management; the curriculum covers the broader economics of hospitality, together with strategic marketing, consumer insights, business strategy, corporate finance, data analytics and much more.
You will also cover key topics such as CSR and sustainability. It’s all about giving you the tools to become a well-rounded leader in hospitality and beyond.
Is it worth doing an MBA in Hospitality Management?
While you can succeed in a managerial career without an MBA, achieving one is virtually guaranteed to improve your prospects, given how it represents a highly valued and globally-recognized qualification. Indeed, some leadership roles state a requirement for an MBA, closing those opportunities to those without.
However, this is only part of the story. Not all MBAs are created equally.
At a world-renowned school such as Les Roches, you can enjoy the all-important industry networking and professional contact which adds a layer of gold to your MBA in hospitality.
Working hand-in-hand with real-world companies on Business Research Projects has opened the doors to careers after graduation for several of our students; the same is true for contacts established during the international field trip.
Add to this the knowledge and networks of some of the best faculty in the industry, and you have an unbeatable combination!
