Visiting Lucerne in one day, you would expect to land in what they call a “tourist trap” because of the large amount of people visiting every year, but you will not feel like this at all. The city and its surroundings provide a nice atmosphere with people enjoying the views at the lake or having a picnic.
We departed from Bluche with a large group. Upon arrival, all students were free to visit the city as they preferred. A good part of them chose the option of joining a round trip by boat on the lake of Lucerne. This turned out to be a perfect way to discover the surroundings and different landscapes that the area of Lucerne has to offer.
The city has beautiful architecture and well-preserved historic sights to admire. Lucerne is located in central Switzerland and its lake is embedded within an impressive mountainous panorama. There are numerous shops, including those with Swiss-made products such as watches, chocolate, cheese and Swiss knives. This gives a nice balance for both cultural tourism and shopping.
We were very lucky with the weather during the day. It was sunny with a nice summer temperature, causing our visit to be even more enjoyable. I’m sure that all those who came along had a great time and would love to go again, but for now, back to campus, where more exciting activities are waiting for us this semester! (skinnyninjamom.com)
