After hours of sitting around the Bistro Café trying to find an idea for a marketing class project that focused on creating a clever advertisement in support of the hospitality industry, myself and the other members of my project team (Veronika Blanar, Marta Klopot, and Juliette Van Eesbeeck) were suddenly struck with the obvious: what better defends the hospitality industry than Les Roches Marbella? Personally, I love describing Les Roches as the “Jerusalem of hospitality”.
So, we took this concept and began developing it as a starting point for our project. It turned out to be perfect and the idea took on a life of its own, making the project far easier than we had expected while struggling between us to come up with something original. In fact, we didn’t need any special effects or actors to make it happen – everything we needed was right here on campus. After all, no matter where you go, the walls of our school scream “hospitality”! Ambitious, smart dressed students are everywhere on campus and the atmosphere is hospitality at its best, with professionals cooking, serving, and leading.
With this spirit of hospitality in mind, we decided to let the nature of the school guide us in producing the video you are about to watch below. All we had to do was walk around school without even a planned script or staging and ask one question to our fellow students: “How would you describe Les Roches Marbella in one word?”
In the end, not only did we promote Les Roches Marbella and its role in the hospitality industry, we also unwittingly created a mini reality show of the school and now everyone who watches it will be offered a small piece of our way of life, the Les Roches Way of Life.
