The race took place on Wednesday, October 2nd with an inspiring show of solidarity among more than 75 of the university’s hospitality management students and faculty members. Titled “Fun Run For A Cause”, the race was coordinated by the efforts of Erika Steinke, a fourth year BBA Hospitality Student and founder of the university’s running club.
Ms. Steinke took interest in the AEEC and saw the running club as a perfect platform to help their cause. (Modafinil) After two weeks of planning and promotional activities both on campus and in social media, her efforts were rewarded with a successful turnout that far exceeded her initial expectations. Together, the students and faculty who participated, raised some 350 euros. To show their support for the students’ efforts, Les Roches Marbella pledged to match each donation, bringing the total donated to the AEEC to 700 euros.
In an interview with Ms. Steinke on RTV Marbella after the Fun Run took place, she said she “finding a cure for cancer is a very important cause and I hope the Fun Run will become a yearly event at Les Roches Marbella and continue to grow with each passing year”.
