March 7, 2014 at 6.12pm marked the start of something I did not expect to happen. A connection was made over our high school experiences at our respective IB (International Baccalaureate) schools. Who would have thought that IB would connect two girls who live in completely different countries? Well, talking about our high schools and where we are from made us want to live together!
The last few weeks as roommates
Being a roommate with someone throughout your Les Roches journey is extremely rare and special. With graduation approaching very soon, it will be sad to say goodbye to someone I’ve spent three years and seven months living with. I am glad I can say I made a friend who will be with me forever, even when we move away on December 3rd.
Although we got along straight away and immediately requested to live together, it was still a risk as we didn’t know for sure it would work. However, I have no regrets as since that day we became inseparable.
What will it mean to have a roommate?
After living alone and having a room all to yourself, you question if it will be possible to live with someone in such a tight space. Luckily, the answer is yes! Having a roommate is and has been very enriching, because it teaches you a lot about yourself. You learn how to co-exist with someone and adapt to each other’s needs, which is an essential life skill.
Of course, there are cases where people don’t get along with their roommate. I think the reason myself and my roommate lived together successfully was thanks to the fact that we got along right away and we knew how to communicate with each other. (Tramadol) We are absolute opposites in many things, but we complement each other in many ways and both love traveling, which brought us together even more.
Les Roches creates friendships for life
Bluche, Paris, Bratislava, Germany and Basel are all locations we managed to conquer together during our time in Les Roches or outside Les Roches.

Les Roches is not just a school, it’s a way of life!
