Some of YouTube’s brightest vloggers paid a visit to Les Roches, taking on some exciting challenges, experiencing student life and enjoying the beautiful Swiss surroundings. Their time with us was also all captured on film, the gang putting together the highlights of their trip for a new YouTube video.
The six visiting vloggers consisted of French national Dazzling Drew, whose videos focusing on fashion and beauty regularly attract hundreds of thousands of views. Also present were Sejal Kumar from India, a lifestyle vlogger with over 500,000 subscribers, Russian travel vlogger Kasum Gasanov and acclaimed Italian lifestyle specialist Marcello Ascani. Completing the group were Spanish humor vlogger Mickey Projects, fashion-focused Frenchman Nathan Graff and avid traveler Vivian Mao, originally from China.
Together, the group packed in a vast array of activities over the course of five days. After beginning the first day with an informal buffet, the following morning saw them enjoy a guided tour of Les Roches’ Bluche campus. Day two saw the six vloggers enjoy a banquet lunch at the student-run Market Place, before embarking on a supervised kitchen battle against LR students.
On day three, the group were able to capture some breathtaking shots of leading ski resort Crans-Montana. They then sampled one of Les Roches’ lectures, taking in information from our Digital Innovation class. On the evening, the sextet got to test their palettes by taking on a wine tasting challenge with the Les Roches Wine Club, before settling down for dinner at our student-run restaurant, Le Tacot.
Day four consisted of a tour and workshop at The Olympic Museum on sports photography. The group were then treated to a guided tour of the globally-renowned Hublot watch manufacturers, based in Nyon. This was organized by a Les Roches student, showcasing the communication, networking and organizational opportunities our students get. By the time the gang said their goodbyes on day five, they had a wealth of material to choose from.
The six vloggers enjoyed everything Switzerland and Les Roches had to offer them, and hopefully we’ll see them come back for more.
