Wine is more than just a beverage. It is a tool that connects people and a way to travel through regions and places you wouldn’t otherwise explore. That is what Les Roches stands for: Exploring and finding your own passions in the world of hospitality and living life with a yearning to understand and discover.
We hope that WOWexpo represents the same.
What is WOWexpo?
WOWexpo (World of Wines Expo) aims to showcase the quality and diversity of Swiss wines, but more importantly, to inspire people to discover what the world of wines has to offer. We aim to do this by dividing a one-day event happening on 14 May 2016 at Les Roches International School of Hotel Management into three parts:
Wine Exhibition
Watches, chocolate, banks and fondue are probably the first things that we conjure up when we think of Switzerland, but did you know that they produce wine? And only 2% is exported, so it is likely that you will never taste them again when you leave the country. Plus, aren’t Swiss wines a more personal, more interesting story to tell than the commercial Bordeaux?
This is why the Wine Club has worked hard to bring together the country’s best wine producers for WOWexpo to exhibit and prove the potential of Swiss wines because, to us, they are Europe’s best-kept secret.
Workshops

These are just a few of the topics that will be addressed at the workshops conducted by speakers across the continent – from sommeliers to wine journalists, judges, pioneers of wine technology and Masters of Wine. We hope that you leave with a fully comprehensive wine experience and a broadened perspective of wines.
Coravin Wine Race
We are most excited about our launch of a new concept partnered with Coravin (one of the event’s partners) incorporating producers, speakers, partners and students in an interactive competition. Team up with two friends to race against other teams to solve trivia and riddles throughout WOWexpo!
Clues provided in different parts of the race will lead teams to the next destination or direct them to perform a task. The fastest team to complete all tasks will have a chance to win exciting prizes such as a Coravin system worth EUR 300 each! No prior wine knowledge is needed.
Hint: One of the clues for the Coravin Wine Race is already embedded in this article.

Since this event is driven by the Les Roches Wine Club, members get a special discount on tickets, to be disclosed during our club workshops. More importantly, the event is open to the public, so anyone can purchase tickets.
