In March 2017 Les Roches Marbella’s enrolment department launched the innovative “I Am The Star That Makes The Difference” television and social media campaign with an amazing video spot that has since been broadcast in numerous media channels across Spain. The five-star track record of Les Roches students and alumni as highly sought-after professionals in the international hotel and hospitality industry, was the basis for the campaign’s slogan. Five star hotels are many around the world but to truly make a difference these businesses need five-star professionals – Les Roches students are indeed the stars that are making the difference between one five-star operation and another. With their standout presence in the industry, the campaign was born.
The one important condition the enrolment department included when developing the project was that it was crucial to use actual students of Les Roches Marbella as the exclusive protagonists. This would ensure the campaign’s message resonated with our students’ and alumni’s actual professional achievements. So, in late 2016 we held an open casting and handpicked the “Stars” that would represent their college in this groundbreaking project. Most of them had never worked in television or film so this would be a new, one in a lifetime experience for them. Mere days after their selection, production began on various locations around Marbella and the school campus.
We followed them around for this momentous occasion and here today we present the “Making of A Star”, a behind the scenes look at the hard work the students did to make this television – the first in the history of Les Roches. Watch the video below to see for yourself.
