LES ROCHES RANKED AMONG THE TOP THREE HOSPITALITY SCHOOLS

This industry research was conducted by one of the most respected market research firms in the industry, Taylor Nelson Sofres (TNS). The goal of the ranking survey was to benchmark academic programs and career prospects for students in international hospitality education universities.

What were the results?
  • Three hospitality schools stood out in the “Top 5” rankings through selection by 48-50% of the respondents.
  • The three hospitality schools that received the most “Top 5” rankings for an international career were: the Ecole Hotelière de Lausanne, Glion Institute of Higher Education, and Les Roches International School of Hotel Management (alphabetic order classification).

How was the research conducted?
  • Questionnaires were sent to 1400 hospitality employers.
  • Responses received from 275 respondents from 52 countries and 40 leading international organizations: a statistically valid 20% response rate.

What was asked in the survey?
  • “Thinking about the hiring of graduates for an international career in the hospitality industry, from the following list of hospitality management schools, please select the ones you would consider to be in your Top 10?”
  • 40 schools were offered in the list, plus the option to list others.
  • Respondents were asked to list their “Top 5” schools in order of preference.

Like any research, the results of this survey should be considered within the factual context and methodology of the survey. To increase transparency, the White Paper is available on line offering the complete details of how this survey was conducted.

  • Complete details about the research made by TNS.
  • Access to the press release about the hospitality management schools ranking.

Rankings should be only one factor among many that students consider when choosing an educational institution. Other factors such as the cultural diversity of the student body, the range of majors offered, accreditation and recognition, faculty credentials, the quality of the facilities, the location of the campuses, and a visit to the institution should help the student to make the best choice.

We wish you success as you explore your options for an exciting future in the field of international hospitality management!
