Game Changer: How Les Roches Abu Dhabi Transformed My Hospitality Journey

GAME CHANGER – is a word that best describes my amazing journey at Abu Dhabi Hospitality Academy – Les Roches. The first look at its magnificent structure and you fall in love with it. Enter the institute and one is immediately greeted by a highly energetic team of the world’s best hospitality experts in the most caring manner—an experience that instantly calms the nerves, warms the heart, and comforts the soul in a serene environment that is both inviting and inspiring.

First Impressions and Industry Visits

I am Saloni Gupta, and my journey at ADHA – Les Roches has been no less than a dream. The program began with a 360-degree city tour, beautifully topped off with visits to some of the region’s most iconic hospitality destinations, including Emirates Palace, Atlantis, and Rosewood. This gave us an authentic, first-hand perspective of the exciting career opportunities ahead and a chance to explore the vibrant life of Dubai and Abu Dhabi—two of the world’s most dynamic cities.

Hands On Learning with Expert Faculty

As for our curriculum, each course is curated in the most realistic and detailed manner which gives us the hands-on practice and the required skills to excel in the hospitality industry. It is an honour to be taught by the top-notch and globally acclaimed faculty that has not only enlightened me by expanding my horizon but has also helped me gain the required confidence to face new challenges, people and uncertain situations with poise and ease.

With in a span of 4 months of joining the program, I have been exposed to the multiple aspects of hospitality program with carefully crafted courses on culinary, barista, front office, housekeeping, rooms division,etc. These courses have provided valuable and practical insights besides helping me to have a clear vision of where I see myself in among all the different sectors of hospitality.

Connections Culture and Career Growth

Living with Les Roches, its truly a way of life as it gives one the best of both the worlds. Its fun as you learn. While acquiring in-depth knowledge about the subjects, the program also encourages us to dive deep into the rich Emirati culture, experience the local cuisine and learn Arabic so that we can easily interact with the Emiratis, seek internship in the best of the places and are ready for the major career break as we approach the finish line of our formal program.

Being a student of Les Roches has helped me gain amazing connections, both personally and professionally. From the professional aspect, The beautifully organized career fair by our university had 17 of the best hotel industry partners from around the globe, lined up to grab one of the only 18 students in our batch – another huge plus – as each one of us gets personalized attention and cherry-picked insights from the most experienced of professors in the business. And it is because of Les Roches, that I am able to build personal connections with my other classmates, who truly make my les Roches journey all the more special with their positive attitude, ready to help nature and the overall hospitable personality of these people have made me earn some amazing friends that I will cherish for life.

Another significant and outstanding aspect Les Roches has and is its Open Door Policy. As per this policy that is diligently put into practice, any student can reach out to any of the professors/ staff members to seek their guidance or voice their opinion about an issue, problem, challenge of an inconvenience caused to them. Evidently, students feel well taken care of, highly secured that allows them to focus on their main agenda without any unsolicited stress / baggage.

In short, to summarize my experience, I feel honored to be studying in such a prestigious institution as Les Roches, that has state of the art infrastructure equipped with latest technology and being mentored by the best of faculty, under the care of the most hospitable staff members in a healthy, happy, and being able to gain amazing and valuable personal and professional relations, stress free professional environment that has changed the game for me, forever.
