I would like to share the results to everyone for their hard work and contribution during the week:
We made a total of €230 from the family cooking class held last Saturday and €937.73 from the campus booth sales of butterfly pins, badges, etc. in just 4 days!
On top of that, I would like to thank the students in charge of the smoothie stand in front of Marche, Klaidas Mackevicius and Karolis Tursa, who donated €110 from their profit.
This gives us a total of €1,277.73 which meets the Sustainability Club’s goal of achieving a 4-digit number!
The representative of Debra Organization, Ms. Kirsty Dixon is very pleased with our participation, and I would like to thank everyone on her behalf in making a difference in the children’s lives, and to our community. Not only that, we managed to raise awareness of Epidermolysis Bullosa (aka butterfly skin disease) and to understand the suffering and pain these children, and their families go through every day.
This whole event turned out to be much better than what we anticipated, more importantly was to see everyone’s willingness in helping our community, raise awareness and create solidarity in the Les Roches Marbella community. This is a reflection of the initiatives’ true success.
Remember, your help truly gives them wings.
I wish you all the best in your future charity endeavours and I since I will be graduating in December, I look forward to seeing other students continuing this effort next semester and beyond. Once again, thanks to all of you for your inspiring commitment to help out.
