This Wednesday, October 2nd at 6:00 PM, the Les Roches Marbella Running Club will hold its first annual run for solidarity – “Fun Run for a Cause”. In collaboration with the Spanish Association Against Cancer (AECC), the Fun Run will serve to raise funds for research in the fight against cancer.
Starting and finishing on the campus of Les Roches Marbella, runners will cover a total distance of 4.5 kilometers through the residential neighborhoods in the vicinity of the school. The course is designed to include both urban and cross country segments that will put casual and novice runners to the test but still afford them the opportunity to compete to help fund this important cause.
The entry fee is a five euro donation to AECC and Les Roches Marbella will match each participant’s donation with an additional five euros (other donations to AECC will be gladly accepted). Registration is open at the campus reception until one hour before start time. After the race, all participants will receive a certificate of completion and refreshments served on campus.
We encourage everybody to join the Fun Run for a Cause! All Les Roches Marbella students and anyone who resides in the Marbella area are most welcome to participate. If, for whatever reason, you can’t run, your support through a donation to AECC will be equally appreciated. It will be a great afternoon of fun, exercise and a wonderful opportunity to show your solidarity for the fight against cancer.
