The Expo is one of a series of events in which the four LRM Houses compete in throughout the semester in a campus-wide effort to become the champions. For the Cultural Expo, the Captains of each House were tasked with organizing various food and drink stands that best represent their House’s cultural makeup.
On display were a variety of countries, including Greece, Portugal, Brazil, Spain, Morocco, Egypt, Lebanon, Holland, Democratic Republic of Congo, Canada, Mexico, Argentina, China, and more. Each group decorated their stand in accordance with their local culture, prepared delicious regional dishes and offered tasting of different spirits and wines typical of each region. Many also dressed in traditional costumes and of course they shared their culture’s hospitality to the visitors from the other houses in this fun-filled show of international solidarity among our students.
The students who participated deserve special recognition for they put in many hours of hard work through last week to make the Expo such a success, despite having exams to undertake at the same time. The food was amazing and the entertainment even better!
It is an honor to announce the winners of the event here in the Les Roches Marbella Blog. After the House Committee of faculty and administration members tallied up their scorecards, the points were awarded as follows:
