During the filming, Steven filmed the various departments of the school and interviewed Mr. Carlos Díez de la Lastra, CEO Les Roches Marbella, lecturer, Ms. Rocio Montero, as well as three Chinese students, including Leanne Wong, Monica Lie, and Liqin Huang. More in-depth interviews continued with our student ambassadors, Sebastian Loffler, Marta López, Pedro Costa, and Margherita Tiso. (expo.aspe.org) To wrap up their visit the production crew enjoyed a fine lunch in El Olivo restaurant with student ambassadors, Renata Gizatullina and Aron Zwirn.
The documentary, yet to be titled, is aimed at dispelling Chinese misconceptions of hospitality management professionals by portraying the diverse life of hospitality students, highlighting their future ambitions, and their unique experiences as young Chinese people studying in Europe.
There can be no doubt that upon the completion of filming, Les Roches Marbella left a lasting impression on its visitors and will surely help to change the public perception of a career field that is not widely understood by the Chinese. We wish to thank Steven Weathers, Stephanie Yuan, Shen Chu , and Yuyang Shang for their interest in our university and their kind direction in making this production such a success. We look forward to sharing the televised program after its broadcast on Chinese television in November.
