Across one intensive year of study you will learn on campus and on location, with academic modules that build a complete picture of the global sports and events industry.
The curriculum includes:
Semester 1
Learn how sport functions as a global business, including the economics of sports events at all levels. Additionally, you will take a deep dive into sports marketing, with a special focus on brand building and analyzing consumer behavior.


Semester 2
Broadening your scope of study towards international sporting events and federations, you will learn more about governance and stakeholder management, while also tackling ethical considerations and developing your leadership toolbox.
As a Master’s in events management alongside sports, the secrets of successful event execution will form a key portion of your second semester studies.
A business field trip builds your knowledge and network, while you can opt to complete your program with a professional internship or Applied Project.
Global Immersion in Sports & Events
During this Master’s program, students gain a unique global immersion into the sports and events industry through academic study, field visits in Switzerland and a focused international business trip. They meet leaders from major sports federations, visit top-tier venues and observe event operations, gaining first-hand insights into trends and best practices.

Final semester Internship or Master thesis
Your two study semesters conclude with the option to undertake a professional internship or to complete a master thesis.

Your six-month professional internship will take you inside the sports, events or hospitality industries, exposing you to different roles within your chosen field of work.
In addition to the valuable professional experience, you will be required to reflect on your internship, enhancing your self-awareness of the competencies you’ve gained throughout your Master’s.

A Bachelor degree is required.
The school accepts documents in English, or one of the Swiss national languages, i.e. French, German and Italian. If not, an official notarized translation in English will be required.
Professional Experience
Work experience is preferred but not required.
English level:
If English is not your first language, or if you have not spent the last two years studying in an institution where English is the primary language of instruction, please enclose a copy of one of the following:
- IELTS: overall 6.0 and min. 5.5 in every sub-component*
- TOEFL: Internet-based 80 or paper-based 550
- First Cambridge Exam: Grade A
- Cambridge Advanced Exam: Grade C
- Duolingo 115 with no component under 105
