Hospitality Immersion Program (HIP)
If you are new to the hospitality sector, you can acquire a solid foundation in the operational essentials with the two-week Hospitality Immersion Program (HIP).
After receiving an overview of the industry and its structure, you will undertake intensive courses on Food & Beverage Operations Management and Rooms Division Operations Management.

Academic semester
Forming the core of the Postgraduate Diploma program, the academic semester features courses that combine leadership skills and business/operational knowledge.
They include:
- Hospitality Leadership and Effectiveness
- Organizational Behavior and Change Management
- Hospitality Finance and Performance Management
- Hospitality Revenue Management
- Event Management
- Services Marketing in the Digital Age
This semester also incorporates your business field trip (see next section)
The business field trip allows you to validate – and build on – what you’ve learned in class. It is also a prime opportunity to grow your professional network, by giving you face-time with established and well-connected hospitality executives.
The week-long trip is carefully curated to provide exposure to a variety of hotel operations representing the leading brands in the industry – with a focus on direct interactions with senior managers.
You will be expected to take part proactively, challenging the views put across and offering your own perceptions of the properties you visit.
Overall, the field trip provides outstanding potential to create an early and positive impression in your chosen industry.

Internship offers on average per student
Knowledge counts in the job market. But experience counts more.
That’s why six months of direct work experience comes as standard with the Postgraduate Diploma, thanks to the professional internship which follows your academic semester.
Working closely with your dedicated Les Roches careers advisors, you will be able to create a personal profile that sets out your target sectors, career paths and preferred destinations.

Education:
A copy of academic credentials (Degree, final official transcript for the full degree program). The school accepts documents in English, or one of the Swiss national languages, i.e. French, German and Italian. If not, an official notarized translation in English will be required.
Postgraduate Diploma applications from non-degree holders with extensive documented work experience will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Non-degree holders may qualify for a Professional Development Diploma, not a Postgraduate Diploma.

Must be proficient in English for higher education studies. English language exam scores (issued in the last 12 months) are required from candidates who are not native English speakers, or who have not spent the last two years in full-time English education.

A hospitality professional with over 20 years of experience, Vincenzo has worked in the luxury hotel and restaurant sector across Germany, the UK, Latvia and Switzerland. His main duty stations include Relais & Château, Kempinski Hotels and Michel Roux’s The Waterside Inn, the first restaurant in the UK to obtain three Michelin stars. Vincenzo is also a member of the ASSP (Association of Swiss Professional Sommeliers), where he acts as vice-president of the Valais chapter.

Ms. Montero has been a member of the Les Roches Marbella faculty team since 2013. She is a Certified Revenue Manager by Cornell and holds an MBA from the University of Liverpool. Teaching both undergraduate and postgraduate students with a focus on rooms division operations and revenue management-related topics, Rocío shares her insights gathered from over a decade of direct hotel management experience working for chains like NH Hotels and Eurostars Hotels.
