Jayesh Nair already had experience of prestigious hospitality chains, but wanted to take his career to the next level. In order to do this, he enrolled in Les Roches’ MBA Hospitality Management course, ready to give him the all-round skills and practical knowledge he needs.
“I have previously worked for prestigious chains such as Shangri-La and GHM Hotels, but I want to be the best in my field. In order to do that, I needed to choose the best school. That automatically led me to Les Roches.
“I chose the school due to its renowned reputation, Swiss hospitality tradition and multicultural flavour. At Les Roches, I receive quality academic instructions combined with innovative craft-based learning. It enables me to open my mind and attitude to a whole new world of experiences, giving me the required leadership skills.
“Travel has always fascinated me, so I have always been influenced in learning more about the various aspects of hospitality. That’s why I chose to study Hospitality Management. My tenure is serving as a guiding light as I plan to execute my dreams, and will be a constant influence in all of my future ventures. I aim to one day climb the ladder all the way to the top of my chosen profession.
Thanks to Les Roches, I can make sense of the industry’s future, structure, changes and challenges. I understand the paradoxes that need to be resolved, as well as the business models of various hotel companies and brands. I am able to recognize strategic alignment, and propose an effective action plan
The program also has an off-campus educational trip to Chicago, which is a real learning curve as we can meet GMs, VPs and executive management teams of high-end luxury hotels.
“Les Roches is confirming what I wish – that theory and practice can be achieved with professional internships in the service industry. I don’t think every hotel school can provide such chances.”
