Originally from Lebanon, alumna Lama Matta (Les Roches Bluche, 2012) chose to move to this cosmopolitan city because of its dynamic atmosphere and opportunities for growth. Currently working as hospitality consultant for Erga Group E-Hospitality, here Lama shares with us some of her top tips for visiting Dubai.

DIFC: Despite being one of the largest financial establishments in the Middle East during the day, the DIFC center turns into a hub for culinary exploration at night, holding the largest concentration of local and international restaurants in Dubai. Here locals and tourists gather to enjoy the finest cuisine at Zuma, Cipriani, Roberto’s and many other successful brands.
Madinat Jumeirah: A refined Arabesque traditional resort, Madinat Jumeirah features two of the region’s most distinguished boutique hotels; more than 40 restaurants, bars and clubs; a traditional artisanal souk; and many other types of entertainment and activities.
Kite Beach: This simple yet entertaining public beach is a must-visit destination for sun and sand lovers. It’s the best spot in Dubai for kite surfing and all kinds of aquatic and beach sports. Several nearby food trucks offer different types of cuisine, including the acclaimed Salt, a new food truck where you can try the BEST burger in town.
Mall of the Emirates: Despite its hundreds of international brands and status as an elite shopping destination, MOE may be best known for its most unique feature: indoor ski slopes where you can enjoy winter sports indoors while it’s 40 degrees outside!!!
White Club: For music lovers, White Club is the best nightlife venue in Dubai. It has spectacular design, great music and an engaging atmosphere. White Club is the first Middle Eastern club to be shortlisted in the top 50 nightclubs in the world, hosting international artists on a weekly basis.
Burj Al Arab Hotel: Staying in Burj Al Arab is too expensive for most, but travelers are encouraged to visit the establishment to take in the extravagant features in its lobby and outlets.
