General Education Course Objectives

The goal of Les Roches' general education program is to provide a well-balanced curriculum that develops student's knowledge in areas outside of the hospitality sphere. The Les Roches programs offer general education courses and electives in five major areas:

  • Foreign Languages
  • English Skills Development
  • Math and Science
  • History and Culture
  • Social Sciences

General education is also a set of common skills embedded in courses throughout the curriculum, in internships and in campus events and activities. Providing knowledge, skills, experiences, and understanding, the general education program offers an educational foundation that will assist graduates to reach senior positions in the hospitality sector.

It is about developing the intellectual characteristics and attitudes, and the qualities of citizenship we expect our graduates to possess - to enable them to appreciate and understand the many facets of the world around them - to be cultured and sensitive individuals in all their dealings in the future.
